We all have a past
A poem of healing

It’s hard at times to relive the past
It rises at times and continues to last
It holds you like the walls of a prison
But be confident in your walk, for you have risen
I know of these things that keep you down
For I, at times, still wear that crown
Persevere, my friend, there is hope to be found
When you cry out, the right ones will hear your sound
So, look around, and you will find comfort from others
Because we all have a past, but we are still your brothers
Thank you for reading.
MargaretGypsy, hopefully, you will accept this piece as a companion to your recent piece titled Stop Apologizing.
