Friday Funnys! Pet Peeps!
Huck & Finn 😎 🐺

Edition Ciento Veinticuatro (124)
¡Hola, amigos! ¡Qué pasa! 🇪🇸 🇺🇸
Ah, the things we do to pamper our pets! This piece will be about the pups and puddy cat protectors. If that’s not your persuasion, well, pardon my posterior. Kindly piss off and look for another party. 🤪
Preposterous? Please, let’s not pretend they’re in second place when it comes to our preoccupation with anything else. 😎
Yes, our pets may be front and center for our posts, but guess who the photo participant is? 🤷♂
By the way, did you ponder why I didn’t title this pet perks, instead? Or, I could have reverse-engineered pet peeves. Percolate on that premise. 🥸
No need to protest, they have plenty of dirt on us. Haha!
Shall we pawsitively proceed? Purrfect! 👏
Ok, raise your hand if this happens in your house.

Yeah, Finn sleeps around, too. Haha! MargaretGypsy, if you visit, keep your door closed. 😁
Jeff Foxworthy makes an excellent point about dog poo. 🤩

Popcorn anyone? 🤗
Zootopia 2 dominated the Thanksgiving weekend. A PG-rated movie sequel centered on a dynamic partnership in a world of talking animals trounced box-office records -but it’s probably not the film you were expecting. Zootopia 2 earned a slew of superlatives, including the highest global debut of 2025 and the # №1 movie globally, domestically, and internationally for the weekend. Its domestic receipts tallied $156 million since Wednesday, including $96.8 million over the traditional weekend, according to Variety. Wicked: For Good did pretty all right, though, bringing in $93 million over the weekend. But Zootopia 2 also garnered more encomiums from critics than the second installment of Wicked did. It’s Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 91%. MorningBrew
Finn and Family have followed this YTuber for years. We think we have our hands full with one; she has four. Whoa!
And talk about pup hair; probably enough to supply a wig factory. Haha!
Paw Spa 🐺
At least twice a year, Becky’s son Mike visits from Paris. He pampers Finn by bathing, massaging, and applying a pad softening balm on his paw pads. Finished off with a pedicure and nail polish (kidding). Here is the proof.
Are owners like their pets?
Scientists Find Golden Retrievers and Owners Share the Same Behavior
Researchers reported a genome-wide comparison in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and said Dr Eleanor Raffan, “The findings are really striking- they provide strong evidence that humans and golden retrievers have shared genetic roots for their behaviour.”
Using the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, researchers assessed over 1,300 dogs between three and seven, with owners completing detailed questionnaires covering over 70 behaviors and categorizing them into 14 groups.
Researchers identified specific genes, such as PTPN1, linked to dog aggression and human intelligence, ROMO1 tied to trainability and emotional sensitivity, and variants like HUNK and ASCC3 connecting dog nervousness to human worry and mood swings.
For dog owners, recognizing genetic and emotional components may change training, while veterinarians could tailor treatments using links between canine fearfulness and human anxiety genes.
The research suggests shared emotional wiring between humans and golden retrievers, as these overlaps influence anxiety, intelligence, and how long we ruminate on embarrassing moments. Ground News
I’ve yet to find a similar study about GSDs. Maybe I don’t want to know how similar Finn and I are in personality. Haha!

Whether you’re walking to allow your pooch to perform a PP&S (pee, poop, & sniff) play, or any other activity THEY deem pertinent, please leave your phone in your pants and pay full attention to their safety, persuasion, and particular interests, and be patient. 👍

¡Muchas gracias por leer! 🙏

When we consider the quality of our fellow humans, I can understand lavishing our attention on the pet peeps instead, RC. It makes us all better, which is a nice side effect
This post didn’t put me to sleep at all ~ Jeff Foxworthy telling the poop on the shoe story hit home…to a tee😅. The pups testing food was something…they all had such different personalities, it was interesting to watch. Thanks, RC
